Crown lengthening means to expose more of the visible part of the tooth (the part you see with enamel). This can expose more of your own tooth that is present under the gums or allow the restoring dentist to have enough space to make beautiful and cosmetic crowns. Some people genetically have short teeth, others have worn their teeth down over the years. This dramatically improves the appearance and functionality of the teeth.
